​Not too long ago, Barb signed up for a community college writing class on a whim—and walked out with a new obsession. Since then, she’s been chasing stories the way she chases finish lines: with grit, grace, and a whole lot of heart.

When she’s not crafting twisty plots or emotionally charged scenes, you’ll find her pounding the pavement. Barb has conquered two marathons, a mountain of half-marathons, and more fun runs than she can count. For her, writing and running are twin pursuits—each a dance between freedom and discipline, imagination and endurance.
